About the role
We’re experiencing significant growths across the business, including with our small but stable software development team that produces a variety of internal products.
This is where you come in – we’re looking for a Product Manager to help us establish product management best practices, and help our products reach full maturity as our business continues to scale.
What this role entails:
- Management of business value propositions.
- Produce business cases, and competitive & market analysis.
- Demonstrate ways to define value and methods to guide prioritisation.
- Empower decision making by defining and cultivating long-term product vision.
- Align sponsors and BTG’s directors around the vision for the product, according to the company strategy.
- Be the point of contact for the product, and a representative of user experience.
- Work closely with sponsors, developers/engineers and end users to research, identify scope, manage backlog, and plan pipelines / release cycles.
- Establish key product maturity processes to promote sustainable development. e.g. defining tools, defining process for setup, support structure (triage and escalations), training programme, etc.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation – With help from your peers e.g. user guides, and provide support to produce marketing & sales materials.
What we’re looking for
- Previous proven experience in an IT/software Product Manager role, or from a background that lead to product management, e.g. Service Delivery, Business Analyst, IT distribution.
- Proficient in analysis and reporting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Keen interest in IT and software technologies.
- “Personable people person”.
- Legally eligible to permanently work in New Zealand and have a current full New Zealand driving licence.
