Steve Harris - Technical Director

Steve Harris began his professional IT career in England in 1995 initially working with TNT Magazine and Reuters (UK) Ltd. These roles lead to Steve taking a senior IT Systems Engineering role at Warburg Dillion Reed UBS. Returning to New Zealand in late 1999, Steve began working as a Senior Project Consultant in a multi million dollar IT start-up. In 2001 Steve co-founded BTG with Neil Dwight.

Neil Dwight - Projects Director

Neil began his professional career in 1994 working in the Property and Project industries. In 1999 while working as a Senior Project / IT Manager role, Neil accepted a contract opportunity to project manage a multi million dollar IT start-up. Neil has successfully managed high profile IT and Building industry projects. In 2001 Neil co-founded BTG with Steve Harris.

Neil has a BCom (Property), a postgraduate qualification in International Business, and has qualified CCSP.

Jeff Jackson - Independent Director

Currently the Managing Director of De Winter International and Solution Matrix Pacific Ltd, Jeff has many years of business and industry experience at senior management and director level. Jeff is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Management, and Harvard Business School alumni.

Jeff's input to BTG draws on his experience as a Chief Executive and Director for a number of large New Zealand organisations, including NZ Dairy Group, Fletcher Fishing Ltd, and Mercury Energy Ltd. He is a member of: The Institute of Directors, The NZ Institute of Management, The Institute of Chartered Accountants, Human Relations Institute of New Zealand, Recruitment and Consultant Services Association, The NZ Computer Society and the NZ Software Association.

Jeff is interested in governance, planning and forecasting, risk management and decision-making and business case design. He runs seminars and lectures in these subjects in New Zealand and Australia.

Tim Figgins - Regional Manager (Ellerslie, Auckland)

Tim has worked in the IT industry since 2001. He currently manages the BTG Ellerslie branch with Lloyd Divers assisting him. Tim has been with BTG for the last 5 years.

Tim specialises in implementation and design of Networks and Firewalls and has strong knowledge in Windows Server and desktop technology.

Lloyd Divers - Regional Manager 2IC (Ellerslie, Auckland)

Lloyd has worked within the IT industry for over 10 years, after completing a Bachelor of Business degree in 1998. Having worked in the UK for a number of years he is now currently part of the Ellerslie team assisting Tim. Lloyd is interested in a wide range of technologies and enjoys collaborating with clients to understand and meet their IT requirements.

Lloyd's qualifications are BBus (IT/Management), MCSE, JNCIA-SSL, CCSP

Andrew Thrift - Regional Manager (Tauranga, Bay of Plenty)

Andrew has worked in IT management and engineering roles throughout New Zealand since 1999. Andrew currently manages our Tauranga branch and has been with BTG for the last 2 years.

Andrew specialises in the design and implementation of complex networks, network security, storage area networks and virtualisation.

Nick Saunders - Regional Manager (Christchurch)

Nick is an experienced IT professional with over 12 year’s consultancy, technical pre-sales and support experience in the IT industry, with particular focus on thin-client solutions and technologies. Having worked in various senior technical roles both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, Nick posesses first class networking and server-based application trouble-shooting skills.

Nick holds a genuine interest in technology and enjoys the challenge of keeping abreast of constantly changing products and technologies.

Duncan Dwight - National Sales Manager

Duncan served 10 years in the RNZAF as an Avionics engineer before moving to a series of sales, account management and marketing roles within various parts of the NZ technology industry. He has worked with the largest IT distributor in NZ in a national role as the Business Manager for networking and security products, and has managed the companys relationship with brands such as Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks. Duncan started the Albany Branch in 2006 and grew that business locally, and nationally to be the best performing BTG Branch relative to headcount. In early 2010 he moved to a National Sales Role working across the wider BTG business.

Duncan is qualified with a NZCE in Telecommunications and multiple relevant IT vendor certifications
